My Weekend-WOF Comfrence 2015

This weekend, I went to the Women of Faith conference (the last one). This was my very first time ever going to a Women’s conference let alone a church/Christian conference. It was a huge eye opener, in an amazing way. I learned so much about myself, about my life, and also about my Faith in God.

I took so many things away from this conference and being among these amazing women. The things I have learned, will continue to stay with me. The words that were said, the things that were preached… I will never forget. A lot of these women Patsy Clairmont, Jen Hatmaker, Nicole Johnson, Marilyn Meberg, Sandi Patti, Luci Swindoll, Sheila Walsh and Thelma Wells… I had never heard of until now. Now that I have… I’m so happy I did. I took so much away from this.

I learned from Luci Swindoll… “Take everything as a compliment and you will live longer.” I can’t say this is more true… You can’t waste your time on caring and worrying about the bad things another person has to say about you. The stress will just drag you down like the Titanic. God made you the way you are because that is how He wants you to be. You are perfect the way you are.

Luci also taught me… if you don’t start living your life now, who is going to start living it for you? You can’t wait and say “Oh, I’ll wait until I have money! I’ll wait until I feel better! I’ll wait for this and that!” If you do so, you will be waiting your whole life. Live your life today, start living now… you only get one life. Make that life count.

I will admit… I was very hesitant about going to this at first. My head was saying, What are you doing going to this event with women you don’t know, what are you doing walking into something you know nothing about, what are you doing? My head was saying… Ashley, are you sure you know what your doing? Are you sure you know what your in for? Yes my head had millions of questions asking me if I should be doing this, God was telling me to do this. I was meant to be doing this, I learned it was God’s plan for me. Everything Happens For A Reason. From God’s plan of telling me to go… I have decided I loved it so much, I want to go to next years conference, even though it’s with all different people than it has been the last 20 years.

I spent an amazing weekend with God, amazing women surrounding me, wonderful inspirational speakers, and pure joy. Even though I was sick most of today on and off… it was still an amazing day.

If any of you are reading this and have wondered about going to a comfrence like this, for women. Please do. It will change your life, it will change your outlook on life and make you see the whole world differently- from a new and beautiful perspective.

The last thing I’m going to say… Don’t forget to be greatful for what you have in life, for who you have in life. Don’t take it for granted, you are so blessed💕
