Must Have Festival Beauty Products

Good evening loves! Spring is upon us therefore… FESTIVAL SEASON IS COMING! I have put together a little list of must-have’s for Coachella, hope this helps some of you when preparing to go to Coachella!

Starting off with face products, I have chosen the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. This foundation is a matte foundation and it is very long wearing. It’s perfect for the days you want your makeup to stay perfect day and night.

With any foundation you need a setting powder, the Kat Von D lock it setting powder. This powder helps keep your makeup in place while setting any tackiness your foundation may leave behind. This is a matte setting powder and it leaves no white cast (for those selfie takers that were wondering).

For the eyes I have first picked the Naked Smokey pallet, this pallet is so beautiful for any kind of eye look. You could go more natural or more sultry and Smokey with your eye look.

For eyeliner I have two options, drugstore and high end. The first is NYX vivid brights eyeliner. I love the vivid brights not only because the cost but the colors they leave behond, so bold yet not over the top. Next is Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner, these are so beautiful if you are willing to go out and spend a little more. The glitter is just drop dead gorgeous.

For mascara I have picked the Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara. I love this mascara. I can’t say that enough. This mascara makes your lashes stand out and look beautiful. At any festival/Coachella a waterproof mascara will be super important because with all the dancing you will be doing… sweat comes along.

Lastly for lips, Colourpop makes perfect lippies for any persons style at only $5-$6! They make lip gloss, satin lips, matte, metallic, etc. The matte lippies last ALL day! Honestly I don’t buy many lip products unless they are from Colourpop!

Overall, these are my must-have festival/Coachella beauty products! I hope you all enjoyed this post and maybe it helped some of you!

XOXO,

Ashley

June 2016 Ipsy bag

This month I recieved an overall pretty good Ipsy bag! Let’s start with the design… 10/10 Ipsy! I am loving this Rebel theme bag. It’s so different and that’s what I like about it. Next, the products. I give them a 4/5. I will use 4 out of the 5 products in this months bag and I think that’s really good overall.

Let’s not forget the postcard, how gorgeous does Lustrelux look in this picture? I’m loving this look! It’s pinned on my cork board of my vanity right now, I just can’t get over it 🙂

theBalm Matt Kumar individual shadow– this is a gorgeous cranberry shade and I will definitely be using this. It will be beautiful in smokey eyes and in the fall/winter.

Everything Balm-Delectable by Cake Beauty, “Moisturizes skin, repairs cuticles, seals split ends, brightens dark circles and more. It literally does it all, from lips to fingertips.”- I’m excited to try this and see how well it works, if it works I will definitely use this.

Happy Hibiscus blush by Seraphine Botanicals– I will definitely use this blush. I love blushes and using different colored blushes, this is a gorgeous color and a pretty summer color.

Face Soap And Clarity 3-in-1 Daily Detox Vitamin C Facial Wash by Soap & Glory– I probably won’t use this honestly. I use the Clinique 3 step system and I love that face wash, so I probably won’t stray far from it.

Colourpop cream gel liner in Get paid– I was so happy to get this in my bag. I love Colourpop and their liners. This metallic is amazing and I have nothing like it.

So far I’m loving Ipsy and these two months have both been hits for me! I will probably use the Colourpop cream gel liner the most from this months bag. It’s a gorgeous copper metallic. The soap and glory will probably go in my travel basket!

Well, thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post! Did you get something different in your Ipsy bag? If so, do share!

Ashley

How much is my face worth?

So I have seen this tag floating around for a while now and have decided to do it. It’s essentially how much is my makeup worth in one days use. I didn’t even realize how much myself. I’m kind of shocked!

I’m going to start off with the face…

  • Estée Lauder double wear foundation in the color 1N1. This is my “couldn’t live without” foundation. I don’t have to blot all day, it keeps me matte. $38.00
  • Rimmel Stay matte pressed powder in the color 001 transparent. This is a new find and I’m not quite sure how I feel about it yet! $4.99
  • Becca Ever Matte primer. This is another couldn’t live without product. It keeps me matte all day and no blotting! $36.00
  • Essence sun club bronzing powder in lighter skin. This stuff is amazing for the price! $4.99
  • Makeup revolution baked highlighter in radiant lights. I love this highlighter it’s gorgeous! $6.00
  • Costal scents 10 blush palette, this is an amazing palette with colors for literally everyone! I personally like to mix the colors and lately get a gorgeous peach shade! $9.95

For the eyes…

  • First off I used the Sephora Vera Mona Color Switch, if you don’t have this to switch the colors of eyeshadow… you should! I don’t know what I did before the Color switch… $18.00
  • Too faced chocolate bar palette, I replaced my fake one! Everything’s all good now. $49.00
  • Colourpop Piggybank. I used this gorgeous color in my water line today. $5.00
  • Tarte Lights, Camera, lashes. $21.00
  • I used the Benefit Browzings to fill in my eyebrows in the color light. $32.00

Lastly is lips…

  • Kat Von D Lolita, my first time using this and I love it. $20.00
  • Colourpop Matte X Cami $5.00

So the total of my face came out to $249.93! I’m so shocked at how much my face actually costed! I hope you enjoyed this post! Thanks for reading 🙂

Colourpop mini haul

Hey lovelies! Happy Tuesday, I was going to share my little Colourpop haul with you today!
I picked these up a couple weeks ago but they got here last week and I have just been sick and not able to blog. The shipping took a little longer but that’s understandable considering they had so much going on with Birthday Boy releasing and such.

I picked up four lippie stix in the colors LBB, Brink, Grunge and Aquarius. I was kind of on a nude/dark phase this order because I noticed I had no darker lippies! All of them are matte except for Aquarius which is a Creme lippie.

I bought 3 liquid lipsticks in the colors Magic Wand, Dopey, and Chilly Chili. Magic Wand and Dopey are both Ultra Satin and Chilly Chili is a Ultra Matte. I’m in love with their liquid lippies.

I bought my first full sized blush, I’m in love with this color. It’s called Cruel Intentions. It’s a gorgeous pink rose color. I love the formula of these and it’s not comparable to ANYTHING else, except maybe butter😋

Also, I got birthday boy for free! This color is amazing! Let alone limited edition! The gold and the glitter… agh! They couldn’t have done better.

Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed this post.

Top 10 lipsticks right now

So I wanted to share my favorite lippies at the moment with you all! There’s a total of 10 of them, I love every one of my lippies but if I had to pick these are my top ten right now.

Mac Brave is one of my go-to lipsticks when I don’t know what lipstick to wear. This was my first ever MAC lipstick.

MAC Whirl is another go-to. This color is so beautiful! I bought this when shopping with a friend and fell in love. It’s one of those colors that goes well with anything you wear. I usually don’t have to re-apply tons and I like that a lot.

Urban Decay Matte Revolution lipstick in the color After Dark is gorgeous! I would have never thought to buy this color until they had a sale for 1/2 off their lipsticks and I was hooked on this color. I wore it to the Selena Gomez REVIVAL tour and it was the bomb.

Urban Decay Revolution lipstick in Naked 2. This color is the perfect nude. Not a pink nude, a true nude. I love this one so much better than the original Naked color.

NYX liquid suede in the color Vintage is one of my favorite dark colored lipsticks. I love this one because not only is it a liquid lipstick but it’s a darker maroon red. The color is beautiful and perfect for any time you want to wear it. This isn’t one of those that is just for fall.

NYX liquid lingerie in the color push up is a drop dead gorgeous color. The formula on these are seriously the bomb.com I literally wore them to Disneyland a whole day and never re applied. This color is so subtle get a stand out nude for a daily basis.

Colourpop Ultra Matte lippie in Lumiere 2 has been a staple in my collection. I would have never pictured myself wearing a color like this until I put it on and fell in love. When I put it on, it didn’t dry out my lips and it was the perfect liquid lipstick. I’m so in love with this color.

-Of course I fell in love with its younger sister Colourpop Lumiere lippie stix. This one is probably my top favorite out of all these lippies. I can wear this with anything, even just mascara and not overwhelm my face. I find myself reaching for this constantly.

-Lastly is Colourpop Ultra Satin Spritz from the Colourpop in bloom collection. This I’ve already almost used half of. I barely noticed and I was so surprised. I do find myself reaching for this a lot too because it’s just that gorgeous pink for spring.

I hope you all enjoyed that post! Thanks for reading 🙂

May Favorites

Hey loves! I hope you all are having a happy Thursday! I decided that I was going to start doing a post like this each month. I’m going to go through my top 10 favorite things of the month and so this post will be my top ten of May! I’m so excited to share with you what my favorite items have been. Both old and new.
-Estée Lauder double wear stay in place foundation and powder. I have been using this for months upon months. This is my go to foundation, it never makes me oily through the day. No matter what I always stay matte and I love that. It can even last through a bath/shower.

-Garnier Micellar water is one of the best products I have tried this month. It works like a dream and removes the toughest of makeup. I’m so happy I found a product like this.

-Laura Geller lip strip. This has been a life saver for me. It has made my lips so soft and smooth. I’m so happy that it has helped me with my dry lips and wearing liquid lipsticks. This is a gem.

-The Urban Decay Electric pallet has been one of my favorite products this month even though it’s new to my collection. Urban Decay never lets me down. The pigments are amazing. I love this pallet so much and it’s amazing for those days you want a pop of color.

-The Real Techniques buffing brush has been one of my most used makeup brushes this month, I use it to buff out my foundation and it doesn’t leave any lines.

-The Essence Sun Club bronzer in light skin was an amazing buy. I have used it every day since I bought it. I not only like the color payoff and the tanned look it gives me but it smells like the beach. That is amazing!

-Burts Bees lip balm has also been another life saver with me having such dry lips. It takes care of them and gives them the hydration they need. They get silky smooth after using this for a little while.

-Colourpop Ultra Satin in Spritz has definitely been a favorite. I have used almost half of the tube already. That color is just so beautiful and summery. I will definitely buy again.

-The Colourpop lippie stix in Lumiere has been the perfect go-to color. It’s the perfect everyday wear for me. It doesn’t look too dark or too light. It’s that perfect pinky nude. It will definitely continue to be one of my favorites.

-Lastly is the Rimmel stay matte foundation in 100 Ivory. I was not expecting to like this product but I did. I don’t love it as much as Estée Lauder but it doesn’t keep me as matte as Estée Lauder so that’s my issue. I love that it is the perfect quick foundation and light, easy to use.

Well that’s all for this months favorite products! I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you for reading! Let me know in the comments what your monthly favorites were so that I can try to check them out 🙂

XOXO,

Ashley
