Must Have Festival Beauty Products

Good evening loves! Spring is upon us therefore… FESTIVAL SEASON IS COMING! I have put together a little list of must-have’s for Coachella, hope this helps some of you when preparing to go to Coachella!

Starting off with face products, I have chosen the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. This foundation is a matte foundation and it is very long wearing. It’s perfect for the days you want your makeup to stay perfect day and night.

With any foundation you need a setting powder, the Kat Von D lock it setting powder. This powder helps keep your makeup in place while setting any tackiness your foundation may leave behind. This is a matte setting powder and it leaves no white cast (for those selfie takers that were wondering).

For the eyes I have first picked the Naked Smokey pallet, this pallet is so beautiful for any kind of eye look. You could go more natural or more sultry and Smokey with your eye look.

For eyeliner I have two options, drugstore and high end. The first is NYX vivid brights eyeliner. I love the vivid brights not only because the cost but the colors they leave behond, so bold yet not over the top. Next is Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner, these are so beautiful if you are willing to go out and spend a little more. The glitter is just drop dead gorgeous.

For mascara I have picked the Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara. I love this mascara. I can’t say that enough. This mascara makes your lashes stand out and look beautiful. At any festival/Coachella a waterproof mascara will be super important because with all the dancing you will be doing… sweat comes along.

Lastly for lips, Colourpop makes perfect lippies for any persons style at only $5-$6! They make lip gloss, satin lips, matte, metallic, etc. The matte lippies last ALL day! Honestly I don’t buy many lip products unless they are from Colourpop!

Overall, these are my must-have festival/Coachella beauty products! I hope you all enjoyed this post and maybe it helped some of you!

XOXO,

Ashley

Julep x BRIKA

Julep teamed up with BRIKA to create a pool party mystery box for this summer, a thing that they only do few times a year. It promised to come with a makeup bag and six other products for $24.95!

As I am affiliated with Julep, my mom let me know one day that she had ordered the box and I said “Oh wow that’s cool!” She reads my blog 🙂

Hi mom!

Well, she lent me the box to write a review on it because I saw it and I had to share it with you all. I was pleasantly impressed with it. It went above my expectations!

Included (I’m not sure if every box was the same) was:

•4 different nail polishes

•One eyeliner

•A lipgloss

The makeup bag is a black see-through bag with the quote “makeup the rules” on it. It is perfect for summer and perfect for traveling to the beach or even taking essentials to the pool!

The first nail polish is a bright red with a hint of glitter. This is a perfect Fourth of July color, it’s named Jaqueline- Classic with a Twist.

The second is an electric purple color with hints of glitter inside. The glitter is an iridescent color. The name of this polish is Madelyn- It girl.

The third polish is a cream pink, a perfect nude nailpolish color! This shade is Lillian- It girl.

Lastly is a smokey gray glittery color. The glitter is a pretty iridescent. This is a perfect shade to wear over a black! This is named Makenna- Classic with a Twist.

The lipgloss is the perfect summer shade. This is a gorgeous coral pink for any look. You can wear this with a no-makeup makeup look or even a gorgeous smokey eye! This is Enchanted.

The eyeliner is a pretty royal blue. I love their eyeliners. They do not tug and are super creamy. I’m so happy she recieved this color, perfect for summer! This shade is Ocean Blue.

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed this post, I hope everyone has a great Fourth of July weekend! Stay safe.

June 2016 Ipsy bag

This month I recieved an overall pretty good Ipsy bag! Let’s start with the design… 10/10 Ipsy! I am loving this Rebel theme bag. It’s so different and that’s what I like about it. Next, the products. I give them a 4/5. I will use 4 out of the 5 products in this months bag and I think that’s really good overall.

Let’s not forget the postcard, how gorgeous does Lustrelux look in this picture? I’m loving this look! It’s pinned on my cork board of my vanity right now, I just can’t get over it 🙂

theBalm Matt Kumar individual shadow– this is a gorgeous cranberry shade and I will definitely be using this. It will be beautiful in smokey eyes and in the fall/winter.

Everything Balm-Delectable by Cake Beauty, “Moisturizes skin, repairs cuticles, seals split ends, brightens dark circles and more. It literally does it all, from lips to fingertips.”- I’m excited to try this and see how well it works, if it works I will definitely use this.

Happy Hibiscus blush by Seraphine Botanicals– I will definitely use this blush. I love blushes and using different colored blushes, this is a gorgeous color and a pretty summer color.

Face Soap And Clarity 3-in-1 Daily Detox Vitamin C Facial Wash by Soap & Glory– I probably won’t use this honestly. I use the Clinique 3 step system and I love that face wash, so I probably won’t stray far from it.

Colourpop cream gel liner in Get paid– I was so happy to get this in my bag. I love Colourpop and their liners. This metallic is amazing and I have nothing like it.

So far I’m loving Ipsy and these two months have both been hits for me! I will probably use the Colourpop cream gel liner the most from this months bag. It’s a gorgeous copper metallic. The soap and glory will probably go in my travel basket!

Well, thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post! Did you get something different in your Ipsy bag? If so, do share!

XOXO,

Ashley

May Ipsy bag

This month I got my first Ipsy bag. I’m so freaking excited guys. I get my Beauty Box 5 and now I’m starting Boxycharm this month. Ipsy surprised me this month with the products I received. I actually really loved them.
I kind of thought this brand would be a hit or miss like most people say it is but so far so great. I was expecting the worst honestly and they exceeded those expectations.

I received 5 products per usual and a cute little post card in my bag.

-Jelly Pong Pong cosmetics Carribean Sun bronzer duo (this is a beautiful color, I will be using this a lot this summer to bronze my face up)

-Aurora gel polish no UV needed in old school pink (let me tell you, even though this is a HOT PINK, I love it for this time of year. It makes me look tanned and it’s just beautiful.)

-Vera Mona smudger brush (this brush is so soft)

-It cosmetics waterproof gel eyeliner in black (I was so shocked when I saw this in my bag, I had heard that these brands came in the bags but it just shocked me when I saw it inside my Ipsy. I love this liner)

-Chia hair smoothing oil

Colourpop mini haul #1

So as I mentioned I picked up a Colourpop haul. This small amount wasn’t part of the haul but still new. I called it a mini haul because the other one, it’s a haul if ya know what I mean.

I love these colors that I got and the only one I already owned was Lumiere 2. I bought that one again because I just love it so so much. I use Lumiere 2 so much already.

Left to Right: Piggybank gel liner, Lumiere 2, Avenue, Bumble, Botanical

I love all these colors. So glad I’ve gone crazy with them and bought so much from Colourpop because they keep surprising me 🙂

Colourpop Summer/Spring 2016

Hey Guys! I have fallen in love with Colourpop since I have discovered the company! Why couldn’t I have found them earlier in my life?! I wanted to make another order because of all the new colors that they keep releasing.

The Colourpop Spring/Summer 2016 line is pure Amazing. Honestly in my opinion, amazing doesn’t do them justice! These colors… Ahh! Gorg!

The new eyeliner pots are Teaspoon (a beautiful emerald green) and Descanso (a bright purple color with hints of blue/green glitter). Honestly I want both! Having blue eyes I feel like these will make my eyes pop, if used in the right way. They’re only $6.

There are two new liner pencils. One is Teaspoon, matching to the color pot. The same emerald green color. The other is a gorgeous nude, unlike any that Colourpop has made before. It’s that nude color liner that EVERYONE is looking for to make their eyes pop. It’s very versatile, the name is HoneyDude. Pricing at $5, you can’t beat this price.

These shadows… These. Shadows. The colors of them all are so unique and perfect for spring and summer. Such beautiful colors and they aren’t overpowering.

From top to bottom:

•Flutes

•Luckfully

•Flower Shop

•Belladonna Lily

•Wattles

All of these colors are so beautiful, you can do so much with these. Layer some colors, make a gorgeous mermaid-smokey eye, a perfect nude look… all shadows are only $5. That price is unbeatable for the pigment and color you get in this pot.

Lastly are the lips from this new launch. I’ve mentioned them in a blog post before but I had to include them again. The lippie stix are in the colors Croquet, Crumpet, and Hype Girl. Croquet is pretty pink color in a sheer finish. Crumpet is a brighter bubblegum pink with a Creme finish. Last but not least is Hype Girl, a darker nude pink in a matte finish.

The liquid lipsticks are in the colors Naked Ladies, Botanical and Spritz. Naked ladies is a coral pink color with a Ultra Satin finish. Botanical is an orange/coral color with an Ultra Satin finish and lastly is Spritz, this color is amazing! I bought this color with my last order and it is a perfect everyday summer lip! I’m not usually one for brighter/pinker shades but this bubblegum pink color has sold me and I love the satin finish. It isn’t drying at all. The satin finish passed the kiss test 🙂 It stayed on as long as I needed without re-applying!

Thats my view on the new line and hopefully you can go check it out! If there is any favorites from the Colourpop brand, feel free to leave me a comment below!
