Good evening loves! Spring is upon us therefore… FESTIVAL SEASON IS COMING! I have put together a little list of must-have’s for Coachella, hope this helps some of you when preparing to go to Coachella!
Starting off with face products, I have chosen the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. This foundation is a matte foundation and it is very long wearing. It’s perfect for the days you want your makeup to stay perfect day and night.
With any foundation you need a setting powder, the Kat Von D lock it setting powder. This powder helps keep your makeup in place while setting any tackiness your foundation may leave behind. This is a matte setting powder and it leaves no white cast (for those selfie takers that were wondering).
For the eyes I have first picked the Naked Smokey pallet, this pallet is so beautiful for any kind of eye look. You could go more natural or more sultry and Smokey with your eye look.
For eyeliner I have two options, drugstore and high end. The first is NYX vivid brights eyeliner. I love the vivid brights not only because the cost but the colors they leave behond, so bold yet not over the top. Next is Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner, these are so beautiful if you are willing to go out and spend a little more. The glitter is just drop dead gorgeous.
For mascara I have picked the Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara. I love this mascara. I can’t say that enough. This mascara makes your lashes stand out and look beautiful. At any festival/Coachella a waterproof mascara will be super important because with all the dancing you will be doing… sweat comes along.
Lastly for lips, Colourpop makes perfect lippies for any persons style at only $5-$6! They make lip gloss, satin lips, matte, metallic, etc. The matte lippies last ALL day! Honestly I don’t buy many lip products unless they are from Colourpop!
Overall, these are my must-have festival/Coachella beauty products! I hope you all enjoyed this post and maybe it helped some of you!
Hello lovelies! I know I’m kind of late on the Kylie lip kit band wagon, but I wanted to really test mine out before reviewing them. I have both the Candy K and Spice lip kits.
First off, Candy K. This lip kit is beautiful! I love the color, the perfect nude! This lippie wears beautifully and feels very silky smooth when dry. It dries very quickly, that is definitely not a bad thing! When the lip starts wearing off it looks so natural, not patchy.
Next, Spice. I bought this lip kit because it was a gorgeous purple/fall color. When used with the lip liner this lip kit looks so beautiful and has very precise lines, no bleeding. When dry it feels so smooth like nothing is on your lips. When it starts to wear away it gives a beautiful ombré look.
Overall, after wearing and testing these lip kits I can say they were worth my money! The $29 was very worth receiving both a liquid lipstick and a lip liner. 2 thumbs up from me!
Many of you may or may not have heard, Colourpop is starting International shipping! They are starting International shipping on July 12… the shipping fees are determined by the weight of the package and the destination of the package. They WILL NOT ship to China or Turkey as of now. This is all the info they have released on their International shipping but once I hear more I will update all of you!
Yes you heard right, Colourpop and KathleenLights are doing another collab together!
The Collab includes 3 Ultra Satin lippies and a cream gel liner/gel pot. The collab will be released on July 12- same date as International shipping and you will be able to purchase everything seperately. Kathleen herself said the lippies were supposed to be released when all the Ultra Satin’s were released months ago!
- Creme gel liner/pot in Mr. Bing… It is a gorgeous brown to make your eyes stand out.
- Ultra Satin in Alyssa… this color reminds me of the Lumiere/Lumiere 2 but don’t quote me on that😜
- Ultra Satin in November… this is a gorgeous pink with peachy undertones.
- Ultra Satin in Point Zero… this is a gorgeous brown-nude.
Well, I hope you all are excited about this news as I am! I have so many people asking me about international shipping and it’s finally here! Yay!!
The day has finally come that Colourpop has decided to release Ultra Metallic lippies! They are releasing 4 shades with limited quantities, they have promised to restock though 🙂 Are you excited? I am.
These colors are so beautiful. So unique. The colors are 3-Way, Kween, Zebra and Man Eater. They will be priced at $6 a pop, just like their ultra satin lips and the ultra mattes.
If you’re interested in these lippies, they’re being released at 3 PM Pacific time TOMORROW, June 23! Get Em’ before their gone!
Thanks for reading!
Hey loves! I hope you all are having a happy Thursday! I decided that I was going to start doing a post like this each month. I’m going to go through my top 10 favorite things of the month and so this post will be my top ten of May! I’m so excited to share with you what my favorite items have been. Both old and new.
-Estée Lauder double wear stay in place foundation and powder. I have been using this for months upon months. This is my go to foundation, it never makes me oily through the day. No matter what I always stay matte and I love that. It can even last through a bath/shower.
-Garnier Micellar water is one of the best products I have tried this month. It works like a dream and removes the toughest of makeup. I’m so happy I found a product like this.
-Laura Geller lip strip. This has been a life saver for me. It has made my lips so soft and smooth. I’m so happy that it has helped me with my dry lips and wearing liquid lipsticks. This is a gem.
-The Urban Decay Electric pallet has been one of my favorite products this month even though it’s new to my collection. Urban Decay never lets me down. The pigments are amazing. I love this pallet so much and it’s amazing for those days you want a pop of color.
-The Real Techniques buffing brush has been one of my most used makeup brushes this month, I use it to buff out my foundation and it doesn’t leave any lines.
-The Essence Sun Club bronzer in light skin was an amazing buy. I have used it every day since I bought it. I not only like the color payoff and the tanned look it gives me but it smells like the beach. That is amazing!
-Burts Bees lip balm has also been another life saver with me having such dry lips. It takes care of them and gives them the hydration they need. They get silky smooth after using this for a little while.
-Colourpop Ultra Satin in Spritz has definitely been a favorite. I have used almost half of the tube already. That color is just so beautiful and summery. I will definitely buy again.
-The Colourpop lippie stix in Lumiere has been the perfect go-to color. It’s the perfect everyday wear for me. It doesn’t look too dark or too light. It’s that perfect pinky nude. It will definitely continue to be one of my favorites.
-Lastly is the Rimmel stay matte foundation in 100 Ivory. I was not expecting to like this product but I did. I don’t love it as much as Estée Lauder but it doesn’t keep me as matte as Estée Lauder so that’s my issue. I love that it is the perfect quick foundation and light, easy to use.
Well that’s all for this months favorite products! I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you for reading! Let me know in the comments what your monthly favorites were so that I can try to check them out 🙂
Happy Wednesday lovelies, I just wanted to share with you a list of Jeffree Star dupes I found. It seems that JS has become more and more popular and I can totally see why! They have amazing products. I made this list because there are lots of people, like myself, who may not be able to afford the $18 per liquid lippie or not want to spend that much on just one. So I hope you enjoy! Here’s the list:
-LA Splash Lovegood
-NYX soft spoken
-NYX kitten heels
-NYX hippie chic
-NYX satin ribbon
-Jordana Tangerine Tango
-CoverGirl Ultra Violet
-Colourpop Mr. Blonde
-pretty Zombie Sea Witch
-Pretty Zombie Black Cat
-Pretty Zombie 3 witches
-Lime Crime Wicked
-NYX Full throttle in Con Artist
-Pretty Zombie Dahlia
Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed this dupes list. If you would like me to do any other brand dupes in the future let me know in the comments!
So I was thinking about the Kylie lip kits and the expense they bring along. They’re 29$ a pop when you could be spending much less. They sell out within an hour, so I found a list of dupes for you guys.
Closer match- mix Colourpop clueless and trap
NYX soft lip cream in Instanbul
Sephora Marvelous mauve #13
NYX soft matte lip cream in Prague
True brown K
NYX soft lip cream in Stockholm
NYX Orange County
Mary jo k
NYX soft matte lip cream in Amsterdam
Soft matte lip cream in Transylvania
So I went on Colourpop, after the crazy sale. In my mind the sale was just nuts and not worth it. I just used my $5 off coupon and went on my merry way. So later on I ended up going and buying a bunch of stuff I had been wanting for a long time. I spoiled myself just a tad.
The single shadows I bought were all from their spring/summer collection that I have mentioned in previous posts. And lemme tell you guys I’m LOVING the colors of these shadows. The consistency of these are so amazing just like everyone says. Like butter… but when you rub it on it becomes a powdery formula, I love that. The colors are beautiful with one swipe but they are very build able.
So, I bought all the shadows from the Colourpop In Bloom line.
– Flowershop (I CANT STOP USING THIS ONE)
-Wattles (I just can’t with this one either. I can’t.)
Next on to the collection I bought, Jaime Kings #Alchemy collection. This is even more beautiful in person than I thought it would be. The colors are fantastic and they knocked it out of the park. Go Colourpop!
Colors in the collection:
-Pretty Bonnes (highlight)
-The Golden Child (highlight)
-Vanity fair (eyeshadow)
I also tried my first Gel Pot eyeliners and guys, I’m impressed. The color payoff is ah-mazing. They are beautiful and I would buy more colors honestly. They are that amazing, and for the price, you can’t beat it.
-Descanso (In Bloom)
-Teaspoon (In Bloom)
As always I bought a massive amount of lippies because I go overboard with the ones I love. There’s literally nothing bad to be said about their lippies. Nothing. They have great payoff and their formula is not drying. It makes my lips feel awesome.
-Crumpet-Creme (In bloom)
-Croquet-Sheer (In bloom)
-Hype Girl-matte (In bloom)
-Lyin’ King-Ultra Satin
So as I mentioned I picked up a Colourpop haul. This small amount wasn’t part of the haul but still new. I called it a mini haul because the other one, it’s a haul if ya know what I mean.
I love these colors that I got and the only one I already owned was Lumiere 2. I bought that one again because I just love it so so much. I use Lumiere 2 so much already.
Left to Right: Piggybank gel liner, Lumiere 2, Avenue, Bumble, Botanical
I love all these colors. So glad I’ve gone crazy with them and bought so much from Colourpop because they keep surprising me 🙂
I received my May Birchbox today in the mail and wanted to share my Unboxing with you all. I’m not impressed at all with Birchbox last month nor this month. It’s been quite the disappointment.
This is what I discovered when opening my Birchbox. The box is gorgeous, however the “samples” aren’t as pretty.
I received five small products in my box this month.
•Beauty Protector- this is a protectant and a detangler, the red bottle. This was the only decent sized bottle inside the box. This product I will use, but won’t get many uses out of it.
•COOLA- this product came half full in the sample. It’s supposed to be a mango SPF 50 sunscreen. I was pretty excited about this until I opened it and saw the size… I was immediately disappointed about how small the bottle was and how little of use I would get out of the product. It smelled amazing though.
•Cotz- this product was just a joke in my opinion. You could easily walk into Sephora and ask for a sample and get this size or even bigger…
•Jouer- This long lasting lipstick was a beautiful color and I was looking forward to this the most out of the whole box. When I received the box it ended up being smaller than my pinkie finger. I was shocked. Really? They couldn’t give us a deluxe sample?
•Lastly I received W3LL People concealer. This product will end up being used by myself but the size bugged me again. Big time. I guess they weren’t into the boxes this month.
I know this review was super unhappy but I wanted to give an honest review on my Birchbox. I did cancel my subscription and I subscribed to Boxycharm instead, I know there is a small price difference but honestly for the size difference, to me it’s worth it.
